An-Najah News - Tulkarm - The Israeli occupation authorities released, through the Salem checkpoint, west of Jenin, on Thursday afternoon, the prisoner Wafa Mahdawi, the mother of the martyr Ashraf Na`alawa, from the Shweikeh neighborhood north of Tulkarm, after spending 18 months in the occupation prisons, and paying a fine of 45,000 shekels.

In the village of Rummaneh, west of Jenin, the Emergency Committee and the FATEH movement received the ex-prisoner Mahdawi and underwent medical procedures to check on her health in light of the spread of corona virus.

Mahdawi was arrested on 10th of July, 2018, and she is the mother of the martyr Ashraf Na`alawa, the wife of the prisoner Walid Na`alawa, and the mother of the prisoner Amjad Na`alawa.

The prisoner Mahdawi was subjected to abuse and harassment in her prison in retaliation, as she is the mother of the martyr Ashraf, and during the investigation she was subjected to various types of torture and enormous pressure at the hands of the investigators, and lived in poor conditions of detention and was isolated several times, and in Damoun prison she was subjected to constant harassment, insults and threats from the wardens.
