An-Najah News - It is scheduled that President Mahmoud Abbas will address the Non-Aligned Summit, which was called by the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, President of the current session of the movement, Ilham Aliyev, today, Monday.

The Palestinian president, who is attending the summit, whose work will be held via remote communication technology, will be briefed on the implications and risks of the attempts of the Israeli occupation authorities to annex parts of the West Bank, and the need to hold an international peace conference based on international law and legitimacy.

The international peace conference’s  aim is ending the occupation, and embodying the independence of Palestine with East Jerusalem as its capital, to live in security and peace alongside Israel on the 1967 borders, and to resolve all final status issues, chief among them the issue of refugees and prisoners, according to the relevant international legitimacy resolutions.

The President reviews before the summit the efforts and measures that Palestine is taking to confront the Corona pandemic and its repercussions, which have yielded positive results in the interest of protecting our people, and the world and its various institutions have praised them.

The summit will be held under the slogan “United in the face of the Corona pandemic (COVID-19)”, to confirm the commitment of states to the principles of the United Nations and the principles on which the Non-Aligned Movement is based in maintaining international peace and security.

And to confront the dangers threatening the countries and people of the world, including the Corona pandemic and the human, economic and social damage it causes in the countries of the world.
