An-Najah News - Israeli settlers continued their attacks on Palestinian lands in the occupied West Bank. The last incident was cutting down of 70 fully grown olive trees in the town of Sair, in the south of the West Bank, said the owner of the land and trees Yousef Jaradat.

Jaradat said that settlers from the illegal settlement of Kiryat Arba sneaked into his land and chopped 70 olive trees all more than 20 years old.

He said Sair residents attempted to fend off the settlers while Israeli occupation soldiers intervened to protect the settlers and attacked instead the Palestinian villagers.

Olive trees are one of the main sources of income for thousands of Palestinian families in the Israeli occupied territories.
