An-Najah News - The French Development Agency revealed that about 3 million euros in aid have been provided to support the fight against the Corona virus to Palestine.

The agency indicated in a statement today, Tuesday, that the aim of this is to finance projects to support the Palestinian response to the health crisis in its various dimensions: a grant of 1.5 million euros for the Ministry of Health, aimed at strengthening diagnostic capabilities, developing medical biology, and improving care for COVID-19 patients, and a grant of one million euros to support small and medium enterprises, through the Ministry of National Economy, in the form of investment assistance, operational support, and support for local communities to maintain services for the population during the pandemic.

In Gaza, the French agency is also planning, in cooperation with UNICEF, to redirect funds to primary health centers to provide them with essential drugs.

The Crisis and Support Center of the Ministry of Europe and Foreign Affairs had mobilized €70,000 in emergency aid for the non-governmental Palestinian Medical Relief Society (PMRS) to enable the acquisition of medical protection equipment and the dissemination of information about the pandemic in the West Bank, Jerusalem and the Gaza Strip.
